Common questions

Is this a real tool?

Yes. We just wrapped alpha-testing with real DMs, and every screenshot here is from the real interface, captured during my own campaign.

Is it AI-generated?

No. Hyggr Dungeon is built and maintained by a two-person founding team that includes a professional software engineer. AI features exist, but they're completely optional. The tool works fine without them. We're transparent about how, where, and how little AI is involved.

Do I need to upload my campaign?

You're letting the tool read your files so search and the other features work. The files stay where they are, and we never sell them, send your whole campaign to an LLM, or do anything else that violates your ownership or authorship.

Is it free?

For now, yes. We'll add paid features and tiers later, but there will always be a free base version.

What is the waitlist?

We're testing Hyggr Dungeon and its features with DMs, onboarding people gradually to keep things manageable. That's why you can't access the tool right away. It's in beta at the moment.
